Independence Bulldogs (Independence, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Field Kindley Golden Tornado (Coffeyville, KS), 19-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Parsons for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25.

With the loss, Field Kindley falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Golden tornado travel to Girard (Girard, KS) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Girard won 10-4 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Mary's-Colgan (Pittsburg, KS)
