Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Tiverton Tigers (Tiverton, RI), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Narragansett for a Division 2 A challenge on Monday, April 11. Mt. Hope will battle a Mariners squad coming off a 22-3 league win over Rogers (Newport, RI). The Mariners record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Tiverton falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Rogers (Newport, RI) to battle the Vikings in a Division 2 A challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Rogers lost 22-3 in their recent league challenge against Narragansett (Narragansett, RI)
