The Athol Bears topped the host Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers volleyball team by a score of 15-3 in Friday's league test.
The Bears now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westfield for a non-league test on Thursday, April 13. Athol will confront a Bombers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Putnam Vo-Tech (Springfield, MA). The Bombers record now stands at 4-1.
The Beavers (2-2) will now prepare for their test against John J. Duggan Academy (Springfield, MA). The enter the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, John J. Duggan Academy was knocked off by Granby (Granby, MA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
