The Newark Norsemen softball team scored 19 runs and limited the host Earlville Red Raiders to 0 in the Norsemen league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Newark moves its record to 9-0 on the year. The Norsemen host Geneseo (Geneseo, IL) to clash with the Maple Leafs in a non-league game on Saturday, April 8. The Maple Leafs come into the game with a record of 9-1. Geneseo won 13-0 in their recent league game against Galesburg (Galesburg, IL)

In their next game, the Red Raiders clash with the Indian Creek Timberwolves (Shabbona, IL) in a Little Ten game, on Monday, April 10. Earlville will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Timberwolves come into the game with a 1-4 record after their 7-5 non-league loss to Amboy (Amboy, IL).
