Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Shelbyville Golden Bears (Shelbyville, IN) and the visiting East Central Trojans (St. Leon, IN), witnessed Shelbyville's softball squad tip East Central by a count of 1-0.

The Golden Bears now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they host New Castle for a Hoosier Heritage match on Saturday, April 8.

With the loss, East Central moves to 1-3 on the season. The Trojans host Batesville (Batesville, IN) to face the Bulldogs in a Eastern Indiana match on Monday, April 10. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 2-2. Batesville won 10-2 in their recent non-league match against Jac-Cen-Del (Osgood, IN)
