The Granada Matadors softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Freedom Falcons to 5 in the Matadors non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Granada improves its record to 8-2 on the year. The Matadors travel to Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA) to clash with the Lancers in a non-league game on Friday, April 7. The Lancers come into the game with a record of 11-1. Saint Francis won 9-2 in their recent non-league game against Freedom (Oakley, CA)

In their next game, the Falcons clash with the Liberty Lions (Brentwood, CA) in a Bay Valley game, on Tuesday, April 11. Freedom will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Lions come into the game with a 4-8 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Monte Vista (Danville, CA).
