Lincoln County Patriots (Stanford, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY), 6-3 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Danville for a District 45 challenge on Monday, April 10. Lincoln County will battle a Admirals squad coming off a 25-11 non-league loss to Powell County (Stanton, KY). The Admirals record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Garrard County falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Golden lions travel to Boyle County (Danville, KY) to battle the Rebels in a District 45 challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 2-4.
