Lakeview Spartans (Battle Creek, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Spartans now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Otsego for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11.
With the loss, Harper Creek falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Beavers host Coldwater (Coldwater, MI) to battle the Cardinals in a Interstate 8 challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 0-2.
