Ludlow Lions (Ludlow, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Minnechaug Regional Falcons (Wilbraham, MA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hoosac Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 10. Ludlow will battle a Hurricanes squad coming off a 17-5 league loss to Monument Mountain (Great Barrington, MA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Minnechaug Regional falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Falcons host Agawam (Agawam, MA) to battle the Brownies in a PVIAC - Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Brownies enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
