The David Crockett Pioneers (Jonesborough, TN) softball nipped the visiting Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN), 2-1 in Sunday's non-league bout.

The Pioneers (14-7) will now prepare for their bout against Alcoa (Alcoa, TN). The Tornadoes go into the non-league bout with a 14-3 record. In their last bout, Alcoa held off Halls (Knoxville, TN), 1-0, in a non-league bout.
