The Austin Black Bears baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Brewer Patriots to 6 in the Black Bears non-league win on Monday.

The Black Bears now own a 8-21 record. They take the field next when they travel to James Clemens for a 7A Area 8 test on Friday, April 11. Austin will clash with a Jets team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Sparkman (Harvest, AL). The Jets record now stands at 22-9.

With the defeat, Brewer drops to 11-15 on the year. The Patriots travel to Fairview (Cullman, AL) to clash with the Aggies in a 5A Area 15 test on Tuesday, April 8. The Aggies go into the test with a record of 12-15. Fairview won 6-3 in their recent non-league test against Guntersville (Guntersville, AL)
