The Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA) baseball trounced the host Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA), 16-1 in Monday's league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 5-20 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Ouachita for a 4A District 2 challenge on Monday, April 7. Grant will clash with a Chiefs team coming off a 14-10 non-league win over Weston (Jonesboro, LA). The Chiefs record now stands at 19-8.

With the defeat, Peabody drops to 9-12 on the year. The Warhorses travel to Franklin Parish (Winnsboro, LA) to clash with the Patriots in a 4A District 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 8. The Patriots go into the challenge with a record of 11-10. Franklin Parish lost 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Tioga (Tioga, LA)
