In Monday's league challenge, the host Albany Cougars volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Saint Mary's Panthers.

The Cougars (16-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Campolindo (Moraga, CA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 10-7 record. In their last challenge, Campolindo was nudged by Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins (Vallejo, CA) in a Tri-County challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. Saint Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 3-1 league win over Hercules (Hercules, CA).
