Match Summary
Set 1: Lake Balboa led early 4-3, hung tough at 5-6 before the MSA Mustangs broke out into the open range 14-5. Siding out 11-9 down the stretch won the set. The cats & ponies traded blows at 8 all in set 2 as LBCP hung on up to 11-12. MSAVN exploded to a 18-11 lead & never looked back. The brooms were out as the 'Stangs opened a 9-4 lead. The Rocky Balboas were getting hammered but finally stood their ground. At 12 to 6 equines the Cougar Libero fired away from the service line as his teammates rose to the challenge of their rivals 12 all. 15-13 'Stangs. LBCP replied again to 17-15. It was quickly toe-to-toe at 19 all. The Lake show drove home 3 more points. Mag Sci Van Nuys made their move but was stopped at 22-21 by the Cougs! 3 points in the next rotation brought it home for the minions of Freddy Cougar. Can we sustain the charge in set 4? Yikers! At 7 all MSAVN led 9-7, LBCP topped it 10-9 but an even more powerful assault by the home team made it 17-11 to pull away for the win.
