The Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Hobbs Eagles to 0 in the Cavemen/Cavegirls non-league win on Monday.

The Cavemen/Cavegirls now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Artesia for a non-league test on Friday, April 11. Carlsbad will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Roswell (Roswell, NM). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-9.

With the defeat, Hobbs drops to 8-6 on the year. The Eagles travel to Portales (Portales, NM) to play the Rams in a non-league test on Thursday, April 10. The Rams go into the test with a record of 2-3. Portales won 13-6 in their recent non-league test against West Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NM)
