The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) and the visiting Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA), observed Avonworth's softball team prevail over Hopewell by a tally of 13-2.

The Antelopes (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA). The Quakers go into the WPIAL 3A 2 bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Quaker Valley was routed by Keystone Oaks (Pittsburgh, PA), 8-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Beaver Falls Tigers (Beaver Falls, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 bout, on Wednesday, April 9. Hopewell will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 16-0 league loss to Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA).
