The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Cushing Bearkats (Cushing, TX) and the host New Summerfield Hornets (New Summerfield, TX), observed Cushing's softball team prevail over New Summerfield by a tally of 19-0.

The Bearkats (13-9) will now prepare for their bout against Mt. Enterprise (Mt. Enterprise, TX). The Wildcats go into the 2A Region III District 22 bout with a 8-5 record. In their last bout, Mt. Enterprise was routed by Alto (Alto, TX), 15-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Douglass Indians (Douglass, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 8. New Summerfield will attempt to advance on its 0-9 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 11-8 non-league loss to Arp (Arp, TX).
