The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) and the host Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns (Metairie, LA), observed Newman's softball team notch a victory over Metairie Park Country Day by a final score of 14-3.
The Greenies (11-7) will now prepare for their bout against Benjamin Franklin (New Orleans, LA). The Falcons go into the non-league bout with a 4-10 record.
In their next game, the Cajuns battle the South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA) in a 2A District 10 bout, on Wednesday, April 9. Metairie Park Country Day will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 9-7 non-league loss to St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA).
