The Picayune Maroon Tide the visiting Long Beach Bearcats softball squad by a count of 3-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Maroon Tide play the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 9. Picayune will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 13-8 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS).
