Texas High School Softball - Nixon bounces Martin

April 7, 2026: Laredo, TX 78040

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) and the host Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX), observed Nixon's softball team prevail over Martin by a tally of 18-3.

The Mustangs (16-13) will now prepare for their bout against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Rattlers go into the 5A Region IV District 30 bout with a 15-7 record. In their last bout, Rio Grande City knocked off Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX), 19-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 bout, on Friday, April 10. Martin will attempt to advance on its 0-23 season record. The Gladiators go into the bout with a 16-6 record after their 13-7 league win over Mission (Mission, TX).
