West Virginia High School Softball - Wirt County succumbs to Wahama

April 7, 2026: Elizabeth, WV 26143

In Tuesday's league test, the Wahama Falcons (Mason, WV) softball squad overwhelmed the host Wirt County Tigers (Elizabeth, WV), by a tally of 18-2.

Next, the Falcons meet the Poca Dots (Poca, WV) in a Little Kanawha test, on Wednesday, April 8. Wahama will attempt to advance on its 10-6 season record. The Dots go into the test with a 0-6 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Scott (Madison, WV).

The Tigers (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV). The Red Devils go into the Little Kanawha test with a 2-10 record. In their last test, Calhoun prevailed over Braxton County (Sutton, WV), 8-0, in a league test.
