The Amherst County Lancers crushed the visiting Rustburg Devils baseball team by a tally of 9-2 in Friday's league bout.
The Lancers now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Appomattox County for a non-league bout on Monday, April 11. Amherst County will face a Raiders team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 7-0.
Next, the Devils face the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 18. Rustburg will attempt to advance on its 7-3 season record.
