The South Jones Braves crushed the host Hattiesburg Tigers baseball team by a count of 19-13 in Friday's league bout.
The Braves now possess a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they host Wayne County for a 5A Region 5 bout on Tuesday, April 12. South Jones will face a War Eagles team coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS). The War Eagles record now stands at 13-6.
Next, the Tigers face the Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS) in a 5A Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, April 12. Hattiesburg will attempt to move on its 4-15 season record. The Golden Tornadoes enter the bout with a 4-12 record after their 15-0 league loss to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS).
