The R-S Central Hilltoppers baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Patton Panthers to 2 in the Hilltoppers league victory on Friday.
The Hilltoppers (10-3) will now prepare for their match against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Rebels go into the non-league match with a 6-9 record. In their last match, West Lincoln was overwhelmed by Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC), 2-1, in a league match.
The Panthers (3-10) will now prepare for their match against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A match with a 10-4 record. In their last match, East Rutherford edged Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC), 10-0, in a league match.
