The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) and the host Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), saw Byrd's soccer squad knock off Alleghany by a count of 4-1.

The Terriers now hold a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Lord Botetourt for a Blue Ridge test on Tuesday, April 12. Byrd will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Alleghany drops to 5-2 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Radford (Radford, VA) to meet the Bobcats in a Three Rivers test on Monday, April 11. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 4-2. Radford won 10-0 in their recent league test against Floyd County (Floyd, VA)
