The Pioneers (9-2) will now prepare for their game against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars go into the Northwestern 3A/4A game with a 2-9 record. In their last game, Alexander Central nipped Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC), 3-1, in a league game.

The Spartans (3-7) will now prepare for their game against Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Draughn nipped Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 4-2, in a league game.
