In Friday's league battle, the host Topsail Pirates soccer squad scored a good 9-0 win over the West Brunswick Trojans.

The Pirates (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats go into the Mideastern 3A/4A battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, New Hanover was overwhelmed by Laney (Wilmington, NC), 10-1, in a league battle.
