The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS) and the visiting Baldwyn Bearcats (Baldwyn, MS), saw New Albany's softball squad achieve victory over Baldwyn by a count of 14-1.
The Bulldogs now sport a 9-15 record. They take the field next when they host North Pontotoc for a 4A Region 2 match on Tuesday, April 12. New Albany will face a Vikings squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS). The Vikings record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, Baldwyn falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to New Site (New Site, MS) to face the Royals in a 2A Region 1 match on Tuesday, April 19. The Royals enter the match with a record of 5-15.
