The crowd at Friday's league match between the Big Bear Bears (Big Bear City, CA) and the visiting Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy (Victorville, CA), saw Big Bear's softball squad nip Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy by a count of 10-7.

The Bears now sport a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they host Academy for Academic Excellence for a Cross Valley match on Tuesday, April 12. Big Bear will face a Knights squad coming off a 16-2 league win over Excelsior Charter (Victorville, CA). The Knights record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The travel to Riverside Prep (Oro Grande, CA) to face the Silver Knights in a Cross Valley match on Tuesday, April 12. The Silver Knights enter the match with a record of 3-10. Riverside Prep lost 21-7 in their recent league match against University Prep (Victorville, CA)
