South Florence Bruins (Florence, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Darlington Falcons (Darlington, SC), 6-2 in a league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hartsville for a AAAA Region 6 challenge on Monday, April 11. South Florence will face a Red Foxes squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Dillon (Dillon, SC). The Red Foxes record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Darlington falls to 8-10 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Wilson (Florence, SC) to face the Tigers in a AAAA Region 6 challenge on Monday, April 11. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-7. Wilson lost 9-1 in their recent league challenge against North Myrtle Beach (Little River, SC)
