D.H. Conley Vikings (Greenville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they host J.H. Rose for a Big East 3A/4A challenge on Saturday, April 9. D.H. Conley will battle a Rampants squad coming off a 8-3 league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Rampants record now stands at 5-5.
With the loss, Hoggard falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to battle the Trojans in a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 4-8. West Brunswick lost 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Topsail (Hampstead, NC)
