The Eagle Pass Eagles (Eagle Pass, TX) softball routed the host Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), 12-0 in Friday's league bout.

The Eagles (14-7) will now prepare for their bout against Alexander (Laredo, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 6A Region IV District 30 challenge with a 12-13 record. In their last challenge, Alexander beat United South (Laredo, TX), 11-10, in a league challenge.

With the loss, Nixon falls to 4-17 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Del Rio (Del Rio, TX) to battle the Rams in a 6A Region IV District 30 challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 13-7. Del Rio won 9-8 in their recent league challenge against United (Laredo, TX)
