East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Davidson for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. East Rowan will battle a Dragons squad coming off a 18-5 non-league loss to Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Dragons record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Lake Norman Charter falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Knights host West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC) to battle the Falcons in a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. West Rowan won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC)
