Flour Bluff Hornets (Corpus Christi, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they host Ray for a 5A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Flour Bluff will face a Texans squad coming off a 18-3 league loss to Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, TX). The Texans record now stands at 4-15.

With the loss, Gregory-Portland falls to 13-15 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Victoria West (Victoria, TX) to face the Warriors in a 5A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 14-6. Victoria West won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Corpus Christi Academy (Corpus Christi, TX)
