Spectators at Friday's league match between the Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) and the host Grulla Gators (Rio Grande City, TX), witnessed Rio Hondo's softball squad prevail over Grulla by a count of 21-9.

The Bobcats now sport a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Port Isabel for a 4A Region IV District 32 match on Tuesday, April 12. Rio Hondo will meet a Tarpons squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX). The Tarpons record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Grulla moves to 1-8 on the season.
