Hudson Cobras (Hudson, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cobras now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Fivay for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 13.

With the loss, Gulf falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Bayshore (Bradenton, FL) to battle the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Bruins enter the challenge with a record of 3-6. Bayshore lost 23-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Port Charlotte (Port Charlotte, FL)
