The Port Isabel Tarpons routed the visiting Hidalgo Pirates softball squad by a final score of 16-0 in Friday's league battle.

The Tarpons (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX). The Bobcats go into the 4A Region IV District 32 battle with a 2-11 record. In their last battle, Rio Hondo notched a victory over Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX), 21-9, in a league battle.

The Pirates now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Rio Hondo for a 4A Region IV District 32 battle on Tuesday, April 19.
