Spectators at Friday's league match between the Jasper Bulldogs (Jasper, TX) and the host Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX), witnessed Jasper's softball squad tip Hudson by a count of 9-4.

The Bulldogs now sport a 15-11 record. They play next when they travel to Carthage for a 4A Region III District 17 match on Tuesday, April 12. Jasper will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-5 league loss to Rusk (Rusk, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-9.

With the loss, Hudson moves to 13-10 on the season. The Hornets host Center (Center, TX) to face the Roughriders in a 4A Region III District 17 match on Tuesday, April 12. The Roughriders go into the match with a record of 8-9. Center won 17-2 in their recent league match against Palestine (Palestine, TX)
