Hyde Park Panthers (Austin, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Anthony Yellowjackets (San Antonio, TX), 12-6 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 24-2 record. They take the field next when they host John Paul II for a TAPPS Division II District 3 challenge on Saturday, April 9. Hyde Park will face a Centurions squad coming off a 14-4 league loss to Incarnate Word Academy (Corpus Christi, TX). The Centurions record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, St. Anthony falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Providence Catholic (San Antonio, TX) to face the Provets in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. The Provets enter the battle with a record of 1-8.
