Smithville Tigers (Smithville, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting LBJ Austin Jaguars (Austin, TX), 24-0 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 18-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Manor New Tech for a 4A Region III District 20 challenge on Monday, April 11. Smithville will battle a squad coming off a 15-5 league loss to Giddings (Giddings, TX). The record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, LBJ Austin falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Eastside Early College (Austin, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 4A Region III District 20 challenge on Monday, April 11. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-8. Eastside Early College lost 17-0 in their recent league challenge against La Grange (La Grange, TX)
