Towanda Black Knights (Towanda, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Liberty Mounties (Liberty, PA), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Black Knights now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canton for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19.

With the loss, Liberty falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Mounties host Coudersport (Coudersport, PA) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Coudersport lost 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Elk County Catholic (St. Marys, PA)
