Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, TX), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 21-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waco for a 6A Region II District 11 challenge on Tuesday, April 12.

With the loss, Mansfield falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 23-1. South Grand Prairie won 18-0 in their recent league challenge against Sam Houston (Arlington, TX)
