The Palatine Pirates baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Niles North Vikings to 2 in the Pirates non-league victory on Saturday.

The Pirates (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Bartlett (Bartlett, IL). The Hawks go into the Upstate Eight match with a 3-8 record.

The Vikings (1-10) will now prepare for their match against Maine South (Park Ridge, IL). The Hawks go into the Central Suburban - South match with a 2-9 record. In their last match, Maine South was overwhelmed by Benet Academy (Lisle, IL), 10-0, in a non-league match.
