The New Richmond Lions got by the host Clinton-Massie Falcons softball squad by a count of 7-6 in Saturday's league battle.
The Lions (8-0) will now prepare for their battle against Wilmington (Wilmington, OH). The Hurricane go into the Southern Buckeye AA - American battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Wilmington nudged Williamsburg (Williamsburg, OH), 5-1, in a non-league battle.
The Falcons now sport a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Goshen for a Southern Buckeye AA - American battle on Monday, April 10. Clinton-Massie will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 15-5 non-league win over Princeton (Cincinnati, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 4-3.
