The Coventry Comets softball team scored 19 runs and limited the visiting Western Reserve Academy Pioneers to 0 in the Comets non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Coventry moves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Comets host Field (Mogadore, OH) to clash with the Falcons in a Portage Trail - Metro game on Monday, April 10. The Falcons come into the game with a record of 2-2. Field lost 10-2 in their recent non-league game against Stow-Munroe Falls (Stow, OH)

In their next game, the Pioneers clash with the Hawken Hawks (Gates Mills, OH) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 11. Western Reserve Academy will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
