The Hampshire Whip-Purs softball team scored 26 runs and limited the visiting Elgin Maroons to 3 in the Whip-Purs non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Hampshire moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Whip-Purs host Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL) to clash with the Tigers in a Fox Valley game on Monday, April 10. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 2-3. Crystal Lake Central won 4-1 in their recent league game against Cary-Grove (Cary, IL)

In their next game, the Maroons clash with the Fenton Bison (Bensenville, IL) in a Upstate Eight game, on Monday, April 10. Elgin will attempt to move on its 0-6 season record. The Bison come into the game with a 3-4 record after their 6-0 league loss to Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL).
