Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) and the visiting Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL), witnessed Rock Island's softball squad tip Hononegah by a count of 4-2.

The Rocks now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to East Moline United for a Western Big 6 match on Tuesday, April 11. Rock Island will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to East Peoria (East Peoria, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Hononegah moves to 2-4 on the season. The Indians host Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL) to meet the Blue Thunder in a Northern Illinois NIC-9 match on Monday, April 10. The Blue Thunder go into the match with a record of 1-3. Belvidere North lost 12-2 in their recent non-league bout against Sycamore (Sycamore, IL)
