Illinois High School Softball - Providence Catholic holds off Joliet Catholic

The Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) softball the host Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL), 3-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Celtics (5-4) will now prepare for their bout against St. Laurence (Burbank, IL). The Vikings go into the GCAC- Red bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, St. Laurence held off Illiana Christian (Dyer, IN), 1-0, in a non-league bout.

The Hilltoppers now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Romeoville for a non-league bout on Monday, April 10. Joliet Catholic will confront a Spartans squad coming off a 13-4 non-league win over Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 2-3.
