Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host North Tahoe Lakers (Tahoe City, CA), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Yerington for a 2A- Northern challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Pershing County will face a Lions squad coming off a 7-5 league loss to Battle Mountain (Battle Mountain, NV). The Lions record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, North Tahoe falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Silver Stage (Silver Springs, NV) to face the Nighthawks in a 2A- Northern challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Nighthawks enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Silver Stage won 24-2 in their recent league challenge against North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA)
