The crowd at Saturday's league match between the North Rangers (Eastlake, OH) and the host Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH), saw North's softball squad nip Riverside by a count of 8-7.

The Rangers now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Bristol for a non-league match on Monday, April 10. North will face a Panthers squad coming off a 21-2 league loss to Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Riverside falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to Boardman (Youngstown, OH) to face the Spartans in a non-league match on Monday, April 10. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 3-5. Boardman lost 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Brookfield (Brookfield, OH)
